- SPOILER ALERT - Dear future Chalet Charbray visitor, we just got home after a 960 km drive, but I wanted to leave a message at the guest book right away as our way of saying 'THANK YOU' to the owners of Chalet Charbray for this amazing experience. Due to Covid-restrictions in other countries we choose to spend our family winter holiday in Switzerland instead of Austria. We had fresh snow upon arrival and a clear blue sky for the rest of our stay which made our week complete, but the chalet will even be more suitable if the weather is not that great. That sunny weather drew us to the ski slopes everyday, but we spent a lot of time in and around the chalet as well. The 5-pax hot tub (during sunset and even under the stars), the sauna, the comfortable beds, the great rain showers in the bathrooms, plenty of storage room for clothing and food, double ovens, double refrigerators, a BBQ, a book shelf with many books and even more DVD's, a fantastic fireplace, Smart-TV's, etc. etc. It is all there. The chalet is worth its 5* classification and in reality it is even better as in the photos. La Tzoumaz has a small city center (ski-rent, supermarket and 3-4 restaurants/bars) and it is not as lively as Verbier, but Verbier can easily be reached by ski or with the Telecabine (switch on the top). You can buy 3 types of ski-passes (bigger region), so make sure you are informed and do not miss the 16:15h elevator back from Verbier (otherwise you need a >1h drive by taxi to get back to the chalet). Also keep in mind that there is limited ski-class availability in LaTzoumaz during low-season. Private lessons are no problem. Finally the chalet is not located for ski in/out. Most of the time we took the car to the parking garage (CHF 5-6 per day) at the Telecabine where we unloaded our equipment. Alternatively a bus-stop can be reached via a (steep) pedestrian path up to the hill across the chalet. The chalet is located at the end of a street (tons of privacy). The chalet rental company is very professional and helpful, but also the owners of the apartment (Lauren and Thomas) are very willing to make your experience as unforgettable as possible. There is an extended manual waiting for you upon arrival in the apartment that explains everything in detail. We really would like to come back sometime. Highly recommended!

It's hard to overstate the comfortable elegance of this lovely chalet perched over the Valais. The chalet effortlessly accommodated our large group. Very comfortable bedrooms with first class linens. Same for the bathrooms. The sauna is heaven, as is the hot tub, especially under the stars. The whole place is impeccably clean and well maintained. And SO relaxing. We need to go back soon!!

Thank-you Chalet Charbray for a wonderful get-away. From opening of the front door and discovering an oasis of luxury, peace and tranquility, to cooking in the gourmet kitchen to soaking in the hot tub, Chalet Charbray exceeded our expectations and we did not want to leave. We felt totally at home - a result of the warmth and welcoming atmosphere that you have provided for your guests. Great access to skiing, fabulous hiking and incredible views from every window rounded out a perfect weekend. We will be back! 100%! Dannette and Family!
